In my Web Development class we worked with digital cameras and scanners. This taught me how to acquire pictures through these two different techniques. With this we also learned how to put the pictures from the digital camera to the computer and save them. We also learned how to save pictures from the internet. And used the program Fireworks to create graphics for various different assignments.

Digital Cameras
In our class we learned different kinds of ways to take pictures. Than our teacher Mrs. Ewert gave us digital cameras to acquire several pictures using different kinds of techniques.

This is a picture of my friend Kelly. This was acquired with a digital camera. This is not the best picture of her, but this technique is called locking the focus. Which means focusing on one subject which is Kelly.

Scanning
We didn't work that much with scanning. Although we cleared how to scan a picture
and save it in Fireworks, and change the look of the picture. Examples could be to
take a regular color picture and change it to black and white.

Acquiring from Internet
In class we created a digital autobiography, and Mrs. Ewert wanted us
to incorporate images into our autobiography through digital camera, scanning,
or retrieving a image off the internet.

To the right is an image that I acquired from the internet. This is an image of one of my favorite bands HelloGoodBye. As you can see it is too also in black and white, the same as the photo before this one. I really like photos in black in white. Fireworks
As I said before we used the program Fireworks to create graphics for various projects. For one project we used the program to create navigation for different web sites that we created. We learned that you have to export your original image so it will show up on the internet if you wanted it to. Because in fireworks your document is saved as a png. but you want a jif or jpg file.

The image to the left is one that I created in fireworks. The assignment was to create an emoticon, and put graphics with the same expression as the emoticon.
